Join us each Wednesday for two hours of tech. Technical wrestling is the key foundation skill of storytelling in the ring and the glue that holds narratives together. Each week will introduce a new hold or sequence, allowing you to develop confidence and creativity in transitions and mat-based grappling. The goal is to build fluidity and realism when chaining sequences together - allowing the movements to become unconscious patterns that will form the building blocks of in-ring improvisation.
Who is it for?
This is an intermediate level class for wrestlers who want to perfect the art of technical wrestling. Grade One students who would like to train more than once per week are encouraged to use the Tech Wednesday class as a top-up session when working towards the Grade One grading. Grade Two & Pro level wrestlers are welcome to use the session as a chance to develop higher-level improvisational skills when working with tech.
What do I need to bring?
Come in normal workout gear & trainers, but bring a spare t-shirt in case you get sweaty and a bottle of water to keep you hydrated. Once you know wrestling is for you, you will also need knee pads and wrestling boots
